Before
"I need to triple my office space in 2 months,
I want a cool downtown location with parking,
and I need you to do it for me without the loss
of one hour of production, and without missing
any phone calls, e mails or web requests."
Daniel Green Smith, one of the partners of Alpha
Carpentry said he didn't even have the urge to laugh.
"I've known the president long enough to know when
he says something like that he's not kidding."
Clotho Advanced Media at the time was bursting at
the seams, taking care of Famous Footwear, The Pleasant
Company and other Fortune 500 clients. In short none of
the 17 employees of Clotho could drop the ball,
and certainly not Smith.
In the next 60 days, Smith had come up with a list of
possible locations, had the entire company agree
on a location, negotiated and drafted a lease between
Don Warren and Clotho, designed and supervised the build
out, built some of the build out, orchestrated the movers,
the DSL connections, the phone connection, the electrical
design, the web cat 5 line paths, and a new plumbing
set up to service the complete kitchen Clotho wanted
in their new office.
